Our Facilities

Doveland International Schools boasts a wide range of facilities that provide our students with a well-rounded education.

Art Studio

The enhanced learning environment of our Art Studio allows our students ample opportunities to express their creativity and artistic sense in painting, drawing, craft and photography among other expressions of Art. Our students enjoy unrestricted opportunities to transform and interpret their ideas as well as express their feelings and desires through the creative arts.

Music Studio

The physical makeup of our Music Studio is endearing. The studio is sizeable, sound-proofed and equipped with numerous high quality musical instruments (African and western ilk) including xylophones, pot drums, saxophone, 5-piece drum set, clappers, keyboards, pianos, recorders, guitars, violins, silt drum, among others.

Language Studio

Our ultra-modern language studio is set up with modular machine translation and language processing platforms. It provides content based language tutoring in major local and foreign languages including French. We partner with Institut Français du Nigeria and we are a registered examination centre for DELF/DALF.

Hostel

Doveland High School provides tranquil, secure, modern, comfortable and family-friendly boarding facilities. We ensure that our boarding system and facilities allow students to live, work and rest in well-equipped and looked after houses that are fully air-conditioned.

ICT Laboratory

Computer Studies, Information and Communications Technology as well as Data Processing are taught in our ICT Laboratory equipped with state of the art computer hardware and software. Our students enjoy unrestricted but supervised access to computer systems in addition to a functional LAN and Wi-Fi network to facilitate learning. Each student has a computer system to work with during lessons which enables them to practise.
Robotics and coding are additional skills taught to our students as part of our commitment to excellence in their education.

Home Economics Laboratory

This is where students learn how to cook delicious meals both local and international, make drinks of different varieties and imbibe home management skills among others. This laboratory is equipped with modern sophisticated kitchen tools for learning and practical.

Science Laboratory

Doveland High School prides itself in her Science laboratories which are designed and built according to prevailing best practices in the education sector. Our well-equipped laboratories cater to the Science education needs of students in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science. Our students are encouraged to explore and experiment using practical, student centred teaching styles adapted to 21st century education.
We have left no stone unturned in our drive to produce students for whom the application of scientific knowledge and principles is second nature. They become equipped with skills for life-long learning in the Sciences.

Technology Laboratory

Our Technology Laboratory is fitted with equipment and tools for the learning of wood work, metal work, technical drawing and electronics. Students are exposed to an enriched curriculum that encourages a hands-on approach to the acquisition of technology literacy.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen at Doveland High School is a place where delicious food, sumptuous snacks and tasty drinks – local and international – are prepared to serve staff and students; day and boarders.
With the state-of-the-art facilities and experienced staff, hygiene is the watch word and mouth-watering dishes and drinks are always available at the kitchen and tuck shop.

Library

Our library is a welcoming, light and airy contemporary space. It is well stocked with books, journals, novels, articles and other reading materials. We also operate a virtual library offering books and other reading materials in computerized form to our staff and students.
The library at Doveland High School is central to our drive to develop a robust reading culture in the school. We value reading, promote and actively encourage it. Students are supported to develop good reading habits, tackle new and different genres as well as read books for leisure and during leisure time.

Safety and Security

At Doveland High School, we value the safety and security of our students and staff. Our security personnel are on duty 24/7 and CCTV cameras are installed all around the school premises to monitor all happenings within and around the school.
An RFID Biometric ‘family pick-up’ card is issued to families. Guardians are expected to show the pick-up cards before picking up a child on behalf of the parents. All visitors and vendors must also register their names and purpose of visit at the gate before they can proceed into the school premises.

School Clinic

Our school clinic is pivotal to health promotion and primary prevention when it comes to health care issues. Through identifying and building on existing school initiatives in addition to providing appropriate preventive health care, our nursing staff support the welfare and well-being needs of students.
