Doveland International School proudly showcased its theatrical brilliance with a captivating stage performance of “The Gods Are Not to Blame”—an adaptation of Ola Rotimi’s timeless classic—held on 21st June 2025 at the school’s auditorium.
The production brought to life the gripping tale of fate, destiny, and self-discovery, set against the backdrop of Yoruba culture. With stunning costumes, authentic dialogue, and emotionally charged performances, our students transported the audience into a world where tradition meets tragedy.
The play not only entertained but also educated, provoking deep reflection on themes of leadership, personal responsibility, and societal expectation. Our young thespians impressed everyone with their talent, discipline, and deep understanding of the powerful message the play conveys.
Parents, staff, students, and invited guests all commended the production team and cast for their dedication and professionalism. It was truly a night to remember and a proud moment for the Doveland Theatre family.
Special thanks to our Drama Department, backstage crew, and all supporters who made this production a resounding success. At Doveland, we continue to celebrate the arts as a vital part of holistic education.
