On Friday, 13th February 2026, Doveland Primary School proudly hosted a vibrant and action-packed Inter-House Sports Competition, bringing together pupils, parents, staff, and invited schools for a memorable celebration of athletic excellence, teamwork, and school spirit.

The occasion was graciously honoured by the presence of the Chairman, Board of Governors, Doveland Group of Schools, Engr. (Dr.) Johnny Obinna Chukwu, and the Executive Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Justina Ulunma Chukwu (FNAE), whose attendance added prestige and significance to the celebration.

The event began on a solemn and inspiring note with the Opening Prayer, followed by the National Anthem and the School Anthem, reaffirming our shared values of unity, patriotism, and excellence. One of the most symbolic highlights of the opening ceremony was the Lighting of the Olympic Torch by the Executive Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Justina Ulunma Chukwu (FNAE), symbolizing resilience, determination, and the pursuit of greatness.

The Sports Prefect’s Speech further energized the atmosphere before the colourful March Past, during which the houses proudly displayed remarkable discipline, coordination, and team spirit.

The day featured an exciting lineup of thrilling track and field events, showcasing speed, strength, endurance, and healthy competition among our pupils. Parents and staff also actively participated in special races and fun activities, reinforcing the strong sense of community that defines Doveland.

The 2026 Inter-House Sports Competition was truly a celebration of talent, resilience, unity, and excellence — core values that define Doveland International Schools.
